norm de plume has been quietly making a name for himself the last eight years with remixes for tornado wallace and ben la desh and ep’s for kolour ltd and his own vinyl only imprint plumage winning him a solid following along the way. his passion for all things disco and deep, dubby, underground house inspired by his musical hero ron hardy feeds through into his production style as well as his recently formed peaches & prunes party which boasts an audiophile sound system and vinyl-only sets from the djs. so when the opportunity arose to do a full ep with norm we jumped at it. here we present you with the castlecrag ep, a nod to the londoners new adoptive home of sydney, australia, and whilst his sound may be more akin to the recent musical movements of melbourne, the laid-back sun-kissed melting pot of the harbour city certainly shine through in the two originals and folamour remix on offer here.

ltd 2018 repress !!! melbourne party enthusiasts animals dancing launch their self titled label with the sophomore release from krautback duo coober pedy university band (tornado wallace & william paxton aka tom moore of otologic). kookaburra, once described as *a bit too mental for me*, continues in the vein of their moon plain release, but this time takes it a step further. perhaps too far.

after last year s track garrol on the paerels compilation for island trips, tammo hesselink aka melatonin man is back with cruise control love. the title track is a ravey disco jam, based around an acidic bass-line, that soundtracked many of our afterhours already. the b-side sees the release of 2 newer cuts - breaky beats and trancy melodies of this young talent with much more to come.

apollo presents a sublime mini album from melbourne duo albrecht labrooy aka sean la brooy and alex albrecht which will appeal to fans of suzanne kraft, tornado wallace and dawn of midi. the release is inspired by a visit to the beautiful wilson s promontory, a remote national park on the south east coast of australia. the tracklisting runs from morning through to nightime and tries to capture the feeling of each snapshot in time. their music is a delicate fusion of ambient electronic textures, live instrumentation and field recordings gauzy guitar melodies, dreamy synth arpeggios and throbbing rthymic pulses that feels equally at home in outdoor amphitheatres as well as dark nightclubs alternating between their cosmic/balearic deep house and more laid back introspections, tidal rivers gorgeously lush sounds are remarkably consistent rich, warm and organic with an emphasis on atmosphere and the transportation of the listener. each track was the fruit of albrecht labrooys long improvised jamming process heavily involved in their local scene, the duo co-run the analogue attic imprint, championing this gentler side of electronic music in australia which has proven a fertile incubator for their own development, across a series of ambitious and ear catching eps, alongside local cohorts such as sleep d, rings around saturn and udmo. this involvement also extends to including local players on their recording sessions as well as their cosmic live shows. the tidal river album includes a quartet of jazz musicians including label-mate matthew hayes on bass guitar, guitarist oliver paterson, spanish cajon courtesy of joseph batrouney and night time saxophone debut by josh kelly.

they expect me to write something informative about the tracks on this ep here but i find it really difficult to express music in words. on top of it i went out last night, to club der visionõre, and i feel hungover and empty inside my head. so now im sitting here and all i can think of is, cant you just take a listen to the music?! the ep contains 5 tracks all made in the last couple of lousy summer months here in berlin in nostalgia for the better days. itÆs about house and a bit of electro, no gimmicks.

to pick up where >i am the walrus< left off, that was the goal when electric light orchestra formed in the early seventies.
they wanted to steep different music styles in a rock tradition and mix in some beatlesque pop, but it took jeff lynne & co until their third album eldorado to get on the right track. their most ambitious album to date, they decided to hire a 30 piece orchestra and choir to fill out their sound, and the investment paid off.
with the unforgettable >cant get it out of my head< as the lead single, >eldorado< was a commercial as well as a critical success, and it would achieve gold status in the us. the english guys with the big fiddles had arrived!

coming off of ep releases on dynamic reflection and 100% pure, uun returns to his label ego death for it’s third release, and it’s first on vinyl. the title track references carl sagan’s classic work of skepticism demon haunted world. it features a percussive attack that builds into a swirling tornado of distorted synths and hihats. the scarlet martyr takes a different approach that is heavy on pads and atmospheric elements all over a bed of field recordings. the b side starts with nx1’s remix of the title track. this interpretation chops up the synth and percussive elements into a broken beat onslaught that builds into the track being deconstructed piece by piece. the final track dominions continues in the broken beat direction with a more straightforward dancefloor approach

2016 repress ...the 2nd release on the new aniara label! this is one of the deepest, most intense tracks we have heard in a while! >sinai hypnosis< is a lush and relaxed tracks that slowly builds and builds and just dont push things as so many of the modern house records ... this is a fresh evening breeze slowly turning into a invisible silent tornado sucking you up and dropping you on cloud 9! this is probably the closest we have heard anything come to global communications without copying their sound. the title track comes as extended and dub version. flip side brings >mima<, another kind of ballad with a dubstep/two step beat and a soothing voice, leading you gently into new territories. (remember aniara 001 sold out in 1 week.. and so far never got repressed despite the demand! dont sleep!)

kreidler begehen 2014 ihren 20. geburtstag - gerade der pubertät entwachsen, aber immer noch juvenil, draufgängerisch, ungestüm. die sechs stücke des in tiflis, georgien, aufgenommen albums sind für so manche Überraschung gut: plötzlich übernehmen bass und schlagzeug das ruder oder ein chor ertönt. ja, ein chor. kreidler haben mit georgischen sägern zusammengearbeitet: entrückt schwebend in dem versponnenen popstück -ceramic- oder bestimmend einen neuen raum im raum öffnend, wie in -nino-. letzteres eröffnet das album, ein stück, wie gemacht für die cabriosaison, mit schritttempo durch die verkehrsberuhigte zone und alles rauskitzeln, was die boxen hergeben. eine frauenstimme übernimmt zu -alphabet-, die laune steigt, es rockt, wie eben nur kreidler rocken, dann ein kurzes innehalten mit -destino-, ein melancholisches sehnen, das in abstrakten no-wave-funk führt, und dann -modul-, ein ähnliches brett wie -nino-, nur gnadenloser. bei -abc- geht es um ein ausloten von freiheiten in zuvor gesteckten grenzen - typisch kreidler. die lp erscheint inklusive einer cd.
